Sticares InterACT was recently audited by George Clinical, which is the contract research arm of The George Institute, an independent, global scientific research institute based in Australia, China and India. The Institute has gained a worldwide reputation for excellence in research and clinical trial management.

During the audit, George Clinical looked at Sticares InterACT’s ability to manage, conduct and monitor commercial clinical trials and vendors in particular and assessed our facilities and capabilities of our organization, our quality management system including SOPs range & high level compliance with GCP, gap analysis and current QA activities and assessed the experience of our staff, their skills and their training.

To the opinion of the auditors, the performance of clinical studies conducted by Sticares InterACT is of a high standard. The conduct and performance of clinical studies is in compliance with the available SOPs and current regulatory requirements.

According to the CenterWatch Monthly article “Prying CROs Out of Their Niches in Europe”, the current European CRO market is estimated close to $7 billion in 2010 and expected to grow to almost $8 billion in 2012.

A few major CROs control the worldwide market and leave smaller CROs competing for what’s left, what’s still substantial. But there’s also room for growth for specialized and niche firms, like Sticares InterACT, and what’s even better, niche CROs are suffering less than big CROs in current crisis.

Sticares InterACT was awarded the European part of a trial from a US based biotech. Sticares InterACT will handle Project Management, Clinical Site Monitoring and Safety Reporting in the EU for the trial. The global trial on atherosclerosis will be managed together with our partners.
